Capital City Black Film Festival in Austin

An envied hotbed of technological start-ups and a live music persona renowned the world over, Austin has welcomed its next chapter in the entertainment industry, the Capital City Black Film Festival.

Capital City Black Film Festival is a Texas film festival based in Austin, the Capital of Texas. The festival's goal is to bring together talented African Americans involved in media and the film industry.

In 2013, CCBFF kicked off its inaugural year with a two day screening of independent films expressing the African American experience. Now, the 2014 festival is staged to be an even BIGGER event. It all takes place in August of 2014. With household names such as ACL, SXSW and Urban Music Festival in its annual calendar, Austin now includes CCBFF on the city's list of annual premiere events.
