SRES Designation Program
The SRES® 12-hour designation program instructs REALTORS® to profitably and ethically serve the real estate needs of clients age 50+. Includes first year membership in SRES Council and its umbrella of services.

SRES Designation Requirements:
Three (3) requirements must be met to attain and use the SRES® designation:
1. Successful completion of the two-day SRES® Designation Course, including an 80% passing grade on the exam.
2. Maintain active membership in the National Association of REALTORS®
3. Maintain active membership in the SRES Council.

The first year membership in the SRES Council is included in the SRES Designation Course fee. However, every year thereafter will require payment of annual dues of $99. Membership in Boomer Authority^TM is always free.

States with No Sales Tax

States With No Sales Tax

Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon do not have a sales taxes. While some States have a uniform rate. others allow counties and municipalities impose a local option tax onto the base tax rate. States with a single rate include Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The highest sales tax are found in:

California (7.25%
Mississippi (7.0%)
New Jersey (7.0%)
Tennessee (7.0%
Rhode Island (7.0%
Minnesota (6.5%)
Nevada (6.5%)
Washington (6.5%)

The final tax will be higher, though, in those jurisdictions which permit a local option tax.

Trails and Parks for Pups in Paso Robles

Parks-4-Pups was the founding organization for Heilmann Dog Park in Atascadero and is active in coordinating popular community events such as Dog Splash Days, Dog Jog, Wiener Dog Races, Dogtoberfest, and Santa Paws. Parks-4-Pups has adopted parks and trails in Paso Robles and Templeton with volunteers providing litter pickup, trail maintenance, and dog walk bag dispensers.

Paso Robles is a delightful City of about 30,000 friendly people here on the "Central Coast" about equal distance from Los Angeles and San Francisco.  I've lived here and been a Realtor in Paso Robles for 39 years and watched the City & County increase in Size and Quality.  Paso Robles is a rural agriculture oriented City with surrounding Vineyards, Wineries & Tasting Rooms, Great Restaurants & Quality Lodging. 

Tourism is one of the main Industries with attractions including Lakes Nacimiento & San Antonio, Hearst Castle, Wine Tasting and Golf.  Great Climate, Central Location, Laid Back Country Living at it's Best!

Paso Robles Spring Wine Festivals

Every year in March and April, the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance hosts the Zinfandel Festival, during which California Zinfandel producers and enthusiasts come together for an evening of wine, food and celebration of California’s heritage varietal. This year The Zin Festival is March 20 and 21. Tickets for the marquee wine tasting event of the California’s Central Coast, May 15 - 17, 2009 are now on sale. The weekend brings winemakers and enthusiasts together in two distinct events -- Friday RESERVE and Saturday Grand Tasting. The 27th Annual Wine Festival features culinary enhancements complementing the region’s wines, as well as a new Wine Country Auction featuring unique Paso Robles wines only available at Friday’s RESERVE event. I have been attending the festivals in Paso with friends for about 8 years and joined the following wineries wine clubs - Silver Horse, Justin and Linne Caledo. The festivals at Linne Caledo are outrageously fun, the sunsets and winemakers from Silver Horse are some of the most beautiful I have witnessed and you can't go wrong in the private tasting room or dining at Deborah's at Justin.
