Cyrille Aimee at the Norton Center for the Arts in Danville

Cyrille Aimée is an unstoppable, undeniable new talent in jazz vocals today. Internationally renowned and praised for her unparalleled abilities, Cyrille's vocal stylings are enchanting and mesmerizing. Her rich background has supplied her with the driving force of Dominican rhythm and French Gypsy swing, receiving rave reviews and a fan following wherever she goes. In 2007, Cyrille won both the First and Public Prizes in the Montreaux Jazz Festival Competition, and at the tender age of 26, she has already released four CDs internationally. Her distinctive voice-which did not escape the attentions of Stephen Sondheim, who cast Cyrille in an Encores! Special Event at New York City's City Center in November 2013-is guaranteed to enthrall. Her quintet features Django Reinhardt prodigy Adrien Moignard, and her hybrid of influences has resulted in a sound that's fresh and enlivening. See this up-and-coming artist early in her star-bound trajectory in the intimate setting of the Weisiger Theatre.
