Fall In Austin

The beautiful fall weather here in Austin beckons us outside to explore all of the city's many parks and trails, followed by a stop by one of the many restaurants and cafes offering outdoor dining. Now is the time to meet up with friends and take in the fresh air because is doesn't get any better than fall in Austin. Congress Avenue is a great place to stroll and enjoy the many shops and eateries. Your perfect outing should definitely begin with a coffee at Jo's on South Congress. Try the Belgian Bomber for a heart jumping combination of, you guessed it, chocolate and of course mocha infused espresso to get you going.
Among the many eclectic shops up and down the avenue one not to be missed is Allen's Boot's for that perfect pair of western boots to style you up in the cooler weather. Allen's offers thousands of boots to choose from and the smell of leather will speak to you as you shop in this famous Austin attraction. Next try Uncommon Objects, a store bound to tickle your fancy, whatever your fancy is! This place is a collection of antique items big and small, from vintage jewelry to character filled furniture and everything in between. Nostalgic and creative meet and you will cherish the hunt in this unexpected gem. After some shopping you are bound to be ravished but how will you decide? Will it be the freshest, most mouth-watering burger you've ever tasted at Hopdoddy's? Or will you venture across the street to Home Slice for an authentic piece of NY inspired pizza - arguably the best pizza in Austin. Or are you thinking some good old-fashioned Mexican grub at Guero's Taco Bar? Visit this Austin Landmark if you are looking for a taquiera dedicated to homemade everything including those hand-shaken margaritas that are calling your name! Within just a few blocks you can fill a day with some great shopping, unbelievable eats and some real friendly folks all around you who have come to do the same. So roll on down to South Congress Avenue this fall and let the adventure take care of itself. You will be heading back to this hotspot before you can say "Giddy up y'all" and don't forget to wear those awesome new boots!
