Heritage Theatre Festival - Avenue Q in Charlottesville

From one of the authors of The Book of Mormon, and in the same irreverent and sometimes offensive spirit, this puppet-powered musical is a timeless look at the follies and foibles of young adulthood. Recent college grad, Princeton, searches for his purpose in life in his new home on Avenue Q (he couldn't afford Avenue A, so he kept going). There, he is surrounded by a (literally) colorful group of neighbors who offer new insights to the challenges of making your way in the modern world. The show, winner of the rare Tony Award "Triple Crown" (Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score), is fun, smart, and unfailingly and unapologetically real.
